Welcome to 3600BC (the "Site", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Site you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract.
  • You sign in with a third-party provider (Google, Facebook or Apple). You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity under your 3600BC account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep only one account. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.

2. The service

3600BC is an online marketplace where users buy and sell numbered plots ("Lands") shown on a world map. A Land is a digital item recorded on the Site. It is not real estate and gives no legal title, ownership or rights to any physical property or location.

3. BC Credit

  • BC Credit is the balance used to buy Lands on the Site. One BC Credit is equal to one US dollar (USD 1) when you deposit or withdraw.
  • BC Credit is not money, a bank deposit, a security or an investment. It earns no interest and can only be used on the Site.

4. Deposits

  • Deposits are processed by third-party payment providers that we may choose and change from time to time. By depositing you also agree to the terms of the provider you use. We do not store your card or payment account login details.
  • Credits are added after the payment is confirmed. Deposits are generally non-refundable once credited, except where required by law or at our discretion.
  • You are responsible for any fees your payment provider or bank charges.

5. Buying and selling land

  • You can buy a Land at its current listed price if you have enough BC Credit. A completed purchase is final and cannot be cancelled or reversed by the buyer.
  • When a Land is bought, the previous owner is paid the sale price less the fees in section 6, and the Land's listed price then increases by a percentage that we set and may change from time to time. The current percentage is shown on the Site, and the price shown when you buy is the price you pay.
  • We do not guarantee that any Land will rise in value, be resold, or find a buyer. Prices rise only when a Land is bought, and you may be unable to sell at all.
  • Every transaction is recorded, time-stamped and may be shown publicly (for example Land number, price, and the buyer's and seller's profile names).

6. Fees and commissions

On every sale, 3% of the sale price goes to the buyer's property agent (or to the platform if the buyer has none) and 1% is a transaction fee kept by the platform. The seller receives the remainder. We may change these rates and the price increase percentage for future transactions by updating these Terms or the Site.

7. Withdrawals

  • You may request a withdrawal of your available BC Credit by bank transfer. Credits are held from your balance when you submit the request.
  • Requests are reviewed and paid manually, so processing takes time. We may reject a request, for example for incorrect details, suspected fraud or breach of these Terms. Rejected requests are returned to your balance.
  • You are responsible for giving correct payment details. We are not liable for funds sent to details you supplied in error.
  • We may ask you to verify your identity before paying out, and we may delay or refuse a withdrawal where required by law or to prevent fraud or abuse.

8. Property agent referrals

You may share your property agent link. When a user who joined through your link buys Land, you receive the agent commission in section 6. Referral links must not be used for spam, misleading claims or promises of profit. We may withhold or reverse commissions earned through abuse.

9. Your profile and content

  • Your name, picture, website, info text and land colour may be shown publicly on the Site.
  • Changes to your profile are reviewed by an administrator before they appear. We may reject content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or infringes the rights of others.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload the content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the Site for as long as your account exists.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for anything unlawful, or for fraud, money laundering or paying with stolen or unauthorised payment methods;
  • create multiple accounts, or trade with yourself or accomplices to manipulate prices or commissions;
  • use bots, scripts or automated tools to buy Lands, scrape data or place unusual load on the Site;
  • attempt to hack, probe, disrupt or bypass the security of the Site, or exploit bugs rather than reporting them;
  • upload malicious, hateful, sexual or infringing content, or impersonate others.

11. Records and corrections

Our transaction and wallet records are the official record of your balance and Lands. If an error, technical fault or abuse causes an incorrect balance, price or ownership, we may correct it, including reversing the affected transactions.

12. Privacy

We collect your name, email address, sign-in provider details, profile information, transaction history and basic technical data (such as IP address) to run the Site, process payments and prevent fraud. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember referral links. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the Site (such as payment and sign-in providers, and hosting), or where the law requires it. To ask about or delete your data, contact us; some records may be kept where we are required to keep them.

13. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, logo, name and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our written permission, except for normal use of the Site.

14. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any Land will keep or gain value. Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You use the Site at your own risk and are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you deposited in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or close an account, remove content, or freeze balances if we reasonably believe you broke these Terms, committed fraud or abuse, or where the law requires. Where an account is closed without fault on your part, we will make reasonable efforts to pay out the remaining BC Credit.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which 3600BC is operated, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
